Keep Your Catch of the Day Close, Your Kent Urgent Care Center Closer

Lakes within King and Snohomish Counties are set to receive a big boost in trout as a result of record numbers of fish returning through the lower Columbia River. Lake Meridian will receive the most number of trout at about 16,000, half of which have already been planted as of early March. Mild water temperatures, low levels, and clear water have combined to make the ideal fishing conditions. Recreational anglers, amateurs and professionals alike, will surely have a field day on these lakes. In fact, freshwater fishing accounted for roughly 35 percent of fishing license revenue, according to the 2011 Washington State Sport Catch Report. This number excludes anglers who hold combination licenses, which allows them to fish at saltwater as well as catch shellfish.
